As you will be aware, the Practice has seen an unprecedented rise in demand for its services in recent months. So that we can provide the best possible support and care for our patients, we will shortly be implementing a new process for booking appointments, which we hope will provide a smoother and more efficient service for both patients and our staff.
From late November, a team of care navigators, duty doctors, advanced nurse practitioners and other health professionals will be based in a single ‘hub’ at Rosebank surgery, where they will work together to manage appointment requests and ensure patients can see the right clinician at the right time. This may involve booking patients in for urgent appointments, signposting people to another service or dealing with requests there and then e.g. quick phone consultations for minor illness, urgent blood test results, prescription requests.
Over the next few weeks you may be unable to book routine appointments until after we have moved to the new telephone and booking system and therefore we will only be offering urgent on the day bookings.
If your symptoms get worse in the meantime please do contact us again for a further clinical review.
We thank you for your support and understanding while we undertake these necessary improvements to our service.
