Patients who are attending surgery are encouraged to wear fabric face coverings if they have them. A face covering is simply something that covers your mouth and nose – this could be a scarf, a fabric face mask, or a piece of cloth.
Instructions on how to wear and make a cloth face covering can be found at: www.gov.uk/government/publications/how-to-wear-and-make-a-cloth-face-covering.
It is still important that you are:
- Regularly washing your hands for 20 seconds at a time
- Practising social distancing
- Not touching your face
- Using your elbow or a tissue to cough and sneeze
