COVID Vaccination Update

National invitations have begun going out to patients in Priority Group 7 (all those aged 60-64) to have their vaccine at a number of pharmacies or regional centres. If you would prefer to have your vaccine with us locally instead, you certainly can, however we cannot currently say when we will reach this stage.

At the moment we are still inviting patients in Priority Group 6 (adults aged 16-64 with underlying health conditions) in age order, but we hope to start inviting patients in Priority Group 7 next week.

We can only go as fast as the vaccine deliveries allow us, so please bear with us – we will invite Priority Group 7 patients as soon as we can. Please do not phone the surgery requesting a vaccine!

We have now vaccinated over 7,000 of our patients with their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine and over 20,000 patients as part of the vaccination hub working with other local practices!

On Wednesday this week we start giving second dose vaccinations to our Cohort 1 and 2 patients. This clinic is ONLY for patients who received their first vaccine on the 16th, 17th and 18th December 2020.

This week we also have first dose clinics running on Friday and Saturday. If we send you a text message please book your appointment as soon as possible!

Once again, a big thank you to all of our patients – thank you for being understanding while we work tirelessly to vaccinate and look after our patients, whilst struggling ourselves with sickness and isolation… there is light at the end of the tunnel!
