Urgent care practitioners
We have trained and qualified senior nurses and paramedics who undertake triage. The practitioners assess patients requesting an urgent appointment or home visit on the same day, which has enabled GPs to increase the length of their consultations to patients in need.
Practice nurses
The surgery nursing team at Rosebank Health offers a variety of morning and afternoon appointments at Stroud Road, Quedgeley, Kingsway and Bartongate. The nurses have specialist training in asthma, diabetes, coronary heart disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Clinics run at both sites for patients with these long-term conditions.
You can make appointments with the practice nurse team for travel advice, cervical cytology, contraception, childhood immunisations, wound care, ear assessment, and general lifestyle checks.
Specialist sexual health nurse
We have a specialist sexual health nurse who is able to manage all contraception and sexual health screening including coils/implants and screening.
Healthcare assistants
The practice has a team of healthcare assistants who are responsible for carrying out spirometry, ECGs, blood pressure checks, health checks and assist the practice nurses. The health care assistants are also trained smoking advisers.
Phlebotomists
In addition, the surgery also has a team of phlebotomists supporting the clinical team by taking blood samples from patients.
Community nurses
The surgery has its own district nurse team whose job is to support the doctors by providing care to patients in their own homes who are unable to attend the surgery. The district nursing services are available to everyone and do not need a referral from a GP.
