Antental Clinic

Antenatal Clinics are run at each of our Surgeries by the practice Midwives. If you know that you are pregnant please arrange to see your usual doctor as soon as possible. They will complete the appropriate forms and will ask you to go to Reception to make a booking appointment with the Midwife.

Cervical Screening

Cervical screening (Smear Test) can prevent cancer of the cervix by finding abnormal changes before cancer develops. Regular smear tests can save your life.

Practice Nurses are qualified to perform smears on behalf of the doctors. Most women have their first smear aged 25, then tri-yearly until the age of 49. After 49, the screening takes place every 5 years. NHS England automatically sends a reminder to women who are due for a test from the age of 20 years.

Breast Examination

We encourage all women to regularly examine their breasts and if they need help or advice about, this they should please contact the Practice Nurse.
